Eng Hoon Street

Hi guys! We’re looking for an individual (sorry, no couples) housemate to take over a common room in a 3-bedroom Tiong Bahru walk-up apartment.

The room: Comes fully furnished (queen sized bedframe, shelves, desk, wardrobe), is very large (really), big windows that make it very bright and airy, and has a nice view of the street - we’re on the top floor. As with all apartments of this kind, there’s one toilet and a separate shower that’s shared between the 3 of us. Kitchen and living room are the other common areas, and we have a small storage room for luggage etc and a back staircase where we keep plants and outdoor stuff.

Move in date: Early to mid Jan 2023

Rent: 1270 + bills (utilities, WiFi, and biweekly cleaning - usually around 100-150 per month) and a 2 month deposit to start

About the apartment and the neighbourhood: The apartment is on the top floor of a heritage walk-up, fully furnished, and is renovated with new fittings. We’re located 5 mins to Tiong Bahru Market (affordable hawker food), 5 mins to Yong Siak (Yoga Movement, Plain Vanilla, 40 Hands), 10 min walk to Tiong Bahru MRT (where there’s a Fairprice, shops, restaurants) and <2 min from Tiong Bahru Bakery (good bread) and Merci Marcel (good cheese). There’s a bus stop just below the block with buses to the CBD, Orchard, Chinatown etc - we’re very well connected. We’re also a 12 minute walk to Outram Park MRT which connects you to the purple and green lines.

The housemates: We’re two professionals in our late 20s working in marketing and design. We are clean, chill, respect each others’ space, and occasionally hang out for meals together and host friends for dinner, drinks or boardgames at home. We don’t have any weird rules, you can have visitors over and cook - just be nice and respectful of everyone’s space. We would love to find someone chill and with a similar energy to share the space with.
