Marine Terrace

Room: Large common room in 2BR HDB next to ECP for rent. The bedframe, bedside table, cupboard and dresser table will be included. If you’re keen, you can buy the desk off me but the rack will not be included.

Flat: The flat is located in Marine Terrace on the 4th floor and surrounded by really friendly old ladies who live by themselves (corridor is quiet most of the time and we’ve never had noise complaints)

It’s a super short bus ride to Katong (5-10min), Paya Lebar(15min) and Dakota(15min). There are quite a few straight buses to town as well. ECP is just a 5min walk away through the overhead bridge/underpass so it’s great if you love to run/cycle/skate or just be close to the sea.

The nearest supermarket is Giant (5min walk) and there are a few hawker centres/kopitiams nearby if you want to grab a quick bite, otherwise Parkway Parade w a huge Fairprice is a short ride away (10min bus commute)

The landlady is really nice and rarely comes down unless we have issues with the flat, to which she’ll promptly get them sorted after being contacted.

The monthly rent is $1000 excluding bills (around $50 for wifi and $20-100 for utilities per tenant since there are subsidies every now and then). Single tenants are preferred but if you’re a couple, the rent will be $1200. There are no agent fees

No owner staying, all cooking and visitors allowed. No pets allowed, no smoking inside the flat.

You’ll be sharing the unit with me (24, Product Designer), and I’ll mostly be WFH. My current flatmate is off to do her PhD once the lease ends but I’ll be taking over her room and you’ll be moving into my room.

Ideally you’ll be clean and responsible but also relaxed and sociable when you feel like it. If you’ve rented elsewhere before and it’s not your first time renting, it’s also a huge plus.

I’m pretty chill otherwise as long as you don’t make too much noise at night and clean up after yourself.
